If you've been sailing the seas in Skull and Bones and you're looking for a ship build that combines pure aggression, crowd control, and survivability, the Brigantine deserves your attention. While many players gravitate toward meta favorites or long-range artillery builds Skull and Bones Items, the Brigantine thrives on a unique identity: flooding damage and devastating rams.

This guide breaks down the Brigantine build step by step-covering weapons, armor, auxiliary choices, and furniture setups-while also offering some strategy tips for how to dominate naval combat. If you've ever wanted to plow through enemy hulls, heal yourself on impact, and leave rival ships sinking in your wake, this setup is for you.

Why the Brigantine?

The Brigantine's identity in Skull and Bones is tied to flooding and ramming. Its passives and bonuses make it one of the most aggressive close-range ships in the game:

Bullhorn perk:

 +45% damage from ramming.

Bonus speed when chasing enemies within 300 meters.

 +20% damage from flooding weapons.

+20% weapon damage to already flooded targets.

Scaling ramming damage with speed (up to +80% if target is flooded).

 A flat +7,000 ramming damage.

That means once you get close, you're practically guaranteed to rip enemy hulls apart. Combine this with the right furniture and weapon synergy, and the Brigantine becomes a terrifying brawler.

Weapon Loadout

The Brigantine isn't about sitting at range and spamming broadsides-it's about combining flooding procs, debuffs, and raw collision damage. Here's the setup:

Front: Thunder Dragon Cannon

 Damage: 1,843

Effect: Skyend-every volley against sails has a chance to trigger a lightning strike.

Lightning Strike: 5,000 electric damage every 5 hits, up to a 45% chance.

Bonus: If target sails are torn, lightning strike damage doubles to 10,000.

Why use it here? Even though it wasn't rolled specifically for the Brigantine, the Thunder Dragon Cannon rips sails, slows enemy ships, and adds unpredictable burst damage. The control it brings makes chasing and ramming easier.

Side: Fall Owl

 Damage: 1,859

Effect: Flood-each hit adds 53 extra flooding damage.

Notes: This version rolled double Soul Mending, but ideally, you'd want Rupture here.

This cannon is your main damage dealer. Flooding effects stack fast and set up bonus ramming damage.

Side (Right): Rupturing Cannon

Damage Boosts: Amplified flooding + Death Blow.

Role: Provides the rupture effect missing from the Fall Owl, letting you shred targets even harder once they're already leaking water.

Back: Far Gorge III

 Damage: 4,189

Effects: Flooding + Piercing, with a +50% faster vulnerable effect charge.

Rolls: Damage, amplified flooding, and deadly strike.

This rear cannon punishes anyone who dares to chase you. Since it stacks vulnerable and flooding simultaneously, it synergizes beautifully with your forward assault.

Auxiliary: Leopold III

 Damage: 20,548 (massive burst potential).

Role: Heavy artillery piece that excels at applying flooding and ripping open enemy hulls.

Perks: Rapid reload, blast range, and deadly strike.

The Leopold is your ace in the hole-when a ship is already weakened and flooded, unleashing this auxiliary can outright delete them.

Armor: Pacea

Since the Brigantine lives and dies by ramming, the Pacea armor is a no-brainer:

Effect: Restores hull health equal to 138% of the damage inflicted by your ram.

 Passive: "Phantasmic Thrust."

In practice, this means every ram is not just an attack-it's also a heal. Done right, you can out-sustain enemies in extended fights just by chaining rams and following up with broadside volleys.

Furniture Setup

Here's where this Brigantine build gets interesting. Unlike most endgame builds, this one runs no major furniture piece. Instead, it leans on carefully stacked minor furniture to maximize ramming and flooding synergy:

1.Iron Cladding Station- +25% ramming damage.

2.Secret Cache I- Reduces cover state penalties by 15% (minor), but more importantly +16% turning speed and +16% acceleration. This makes your Brigantine more agile for lining up rams.

3.Demi Cannon Works I- +19% secondary damage from Demi Cannons.

4.Beam Supports- +7% max health and +7% armor rating.

5.Ramrod Workshop- -7% reload time for broadsides, +7% secondary broadside damage.

6.Expanding Corkscrew Station- +12% secondary flooding weapon damage, +8% flooding weapon range.

Individually, these don't seem game-breaking, but stacked together, they make your rams harder, your floods deadlier, and your Brigantine tougher.

Skin and Style

For flair, this build was tested with the Glorious Dead skin-the only ship skin available right now. While purely cosmetic, it does make the Brigantine look like a true reaper of the seas.Combat Strategy

So how do you actually sail this monster? The Brigantine is aggressive, but it rewards patience and timing. Here's how to maximize its kit:

1. Close the Gap

Use your speed bonus when pursuing within 300m. With acceleration furniture equipped, you'll feel noticeably faster than most mid-class ships.

2. Target the Sails First

Fire your Thunder Dragon Cannon to shred sails. Once torn, lightning strikes will start dealing 10,000 damage procs, slowing them down further.

3. Flood Before You Ram

Get a few volleys off with your Fall Owl and side cannons. Apply as much flooding as possible to increase your ramming multiplier.

4. Ram to Deal + Heal

Line up a high-speed ram. Thanks to Bullhorn and Pacea armor, this will deal massive damage and heal your ship. Done correctly, you can erase 20–40% of an enemy's health bar while restoring your own.

5. Follow With Auxiliary

Once they're crippled, unleash your Leopold III for a finishing blow. At 20k+ damage, it can outright sink smaller ships or force larger ones into panic.

6. Keep Moving

Don't sit still. The Brigantine isn't a tank-it's a predator. Constantly circle, accelerate, and reposition for the next ram. Your agility furniture makes you far more mobile than you'd expect.

Strengths of the Build

Sustain: Every ram heals you, making you hard to wear down.

Burst Damage: Flooding + ramming + auxiliary combos sink ships fast.

Mobility: Furniture setup makes the Brigantine surprisingly nimble.

Style Points: Few things feel better than charging full speed into an enemy and watching their hull explode.

Weaknesses of the Build

Range Reliant: Long-range sniper ships can punish you if you can't close the gap.

Timing Required: Rams must be lined up carefully-miss, and you lose momentum.

Furniture Dependency: Without the right setup, the Brigantine feels underwhelming compared to heavier ships.

Closing Thoughts

The Brigantine isn't about playing safe-it's about embracing chaos. With the right weapons, furniture, and armor, you'll transform it into a flooding-and-ramming juggernaut capable of dismantling fleets. Every fight becomes a cycle of crippling sails, applying floods, smashing into hulls, and healing back to full.

In a world where many captains prefer cautious artillery duels, the Brigantine offers something refreshingly brutal: get in close, smash them to pieces, and survive off the carnage you create buy skull and bones boosting.

If you want a ship that feels different from the meta, rewards aggression, and turns naval battles into cinematic brawls, the Brigantine build is absolutely worth trying. Equip your Thunder Dragon, strap on the Pacea, and let the sea echo with the sound of splintering hulls.
