My belief is that one OSRS GP god can't be killed. Their bodies can be capable of being killed. Their minds will not be destroyed, and they can return in the event of a new body. Guthix, the strongest god that is not elder, can create an avatar using natural resources. I think Guthix will come back, and claim Gielinor back.

He died, unless he somehow created The World Wakes with Sliske’s help. This, I doubt, is likely. Guthix was the strongest of the "normal" Gods due to his exposure to the Stone of Jas’ powers. But, after years and years of being isolated, it's reasonable to conclude that a lot of the power has gone away. You shouldn't believe Guthix was able to withstand such manipulations at that time.

I doubt he was able to runescape 2007 gold escape death in a similar fashion as Zaros. Zaros' body like Guthix's was destroyed. It is likely that Zaros was desperate to live his life at all costs, made his body pure energy in order to avoid the inevitable.
